Live polls · word clouds · quizzes · Q&A
Every voice in the room.
Put a question on the big screen. Everyone answers on their phone, with no app and no sign-up, and the results move as the answers arrive. Made in Nairobi for real rooms, from lecture halls to town halls.
Free for rooms of up to 50. Works on any phone with a browser.
Fetching today's question…
This poll is live. Vote, and watch everyone else's answers arrive.
How it works
Three steps, and the second one is theirs.
- 1
Ask
Write a question in a minute: a poll, a word cloud, a rating, a quiz or open Q&A. Or start from a template.
- 2
They answer
People scan the code on the screen, or type the six digits, and answer on their own phones. No app, no account.
- 3
The room sees itself
Results move on the big screen the moment answers land. Everything is saved for you afterwards.
For the audience
Answering takes a tap.
Big buttons, no forms, nothing to install. A phone that loses signal picks up where it left off, and nobody is counted twice.
- Join by camera or with a six-digit code
- Anonymous unless they add a name
- Works on budget Android phones and older iPhones
Six kinds of slide
Everything a room can say, on one screen.
Mix them in one presentation. Each one updates live, and each one is saved.
Word cloud

Rating scale
How useful was this workshop?
- Multiple choice one answer or many
- Timed quizzes with points for speed and a leaderboard
- Content slides for a heading, some words, a picture
Built for real rooms
Made for the hall you actually present in.
Most halls have patchy Wi-Fi and a hundred different phones. Roomwave is built for that room, not for a showroom on fast office internet.
- Light enough for slow data
- The page a phone opens to answer is a fraction of the size of a typical website, so it opens quickly on a weak signal.
- Survives a dropped signal
- Phones reconnect by themselves and pick up the current question. An answer is never counted twice.
- Gets through strict networks
- Where a venue's network blocks live connections, Roomwave quietly switches to ordinary web requests.
- One code for the whole hall
- Up to 1,000 people in one session on the Organisation plan, all answering at once.
Who uses Roomwave
From forty people to a full conference hall.
-
Conferences and panels
Moderated Q&A with upvotes, so the panel takes the questions the room actually wants.
-
Lecture halls
Check understanding before students leave, and find out which part to teach again.
-
Churches and community halls
Quizzes that get the whole hall laughing, and feedback from people who never raise a hand.
-
Company town halls
Honest pulse checks and questions for leadership, without anyone having to stand up.

Questions
Before you try it.
Does my audience need to install anything?
No. They open the camera, scan the code on the screen, and answer in the browser they already have. No app and no account.
What if the Wi-Fi in the hall is weak?
The page a phone loads to join is tiny, and if the connection drops it reconnects by itself without losing the answer. Where a venue's network blocks live connections, Roomwave falls back to ordinary requests automatically.
Are answers anonymous?
Yes, unless someone chooses to add their name. Quizzes give everyone a friendly nickname for the leaderboard, which they can change.
Can I keep the results?
Every answer is saved. Download a spreadsheet of any session, or on Pro a PDF report, emailed to you if you like.
How do I pay?
Free stays free. Pro starts with a 14-day trial with no card, and teams pay by invoice, by bank transfer or M-Pesa paybill.
Your next room is waiting.
